Man Stabs Son to Death in Osubi

A 23-year-old, Miracle, died on Sunday from injuries sustained from stabs by his father, Iseleto, who resides in the Osubi community due to the son renting an apartment for his wife.

Miracle had rented a separate apartment for his father’s wife and stepsister because of consistent abuse from the alcoholic father. The peaceful gesture of Miracle provoked the father, who had tried to have carnal knowledge of his stepdaughter in their one-room apartment and lured the young son to a nearby bush where he carried out the act.

Upon stabbing the deceased multiple times with a dagger, the father fled Osubi, but Miracle struggled from the bush to the road, where passersby rushed him to a hospital.

It was at the hospital, before his death, that Miracle recounted how his father tricked him into the bush and attacked him.

The suspect’s father, who is on the run, admitted in a phone call to his stepdaughter that he committed the crime. He also called family members, stating that he would kill his wife and stepdaughter for leaving the house and ending the marriage.
