Security Operatives Foil Herdsmen Attack Against WAEC Students in Benue

What could have turned into a national chaotic scene was averted by men of the Nigeria Police Force on Thursday at a Government Secondary School, Odugbo, in Benue State.

Gunmen had invaded the public school at about 1:20 PM as the students were sitting for their Senior Secondary School West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) exams.

Information revealed that the suspected gunmen shot sporadically into the air while the students scrambled for safety in fear.

The situation was brought under control as an 80-man Patrol Team of the Benue State Civilian Joint Task Force (PMF) Odugbo quickly repelled the attackers, who fled into the bushes nearby.
