DTSG Insists on Investing in Education

Flags-off the Introduction of HPV Vaccine….
Delta State Government has encouraged children in the state and nationwide to take advantage of all the educational and vocational opportunities provided them to contribute to the growth of their families and society at large.
The state Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, represented by his Deputy, Monday Onyeme, made the call on the occasion of the National Children’s Day Celebration 2024, with the theme; “Enhancing the Total Well-Being of the Nigerian Child through Quality Education and Skills Development” held at Cenotaph in Asaba the state capital.
Onyeme who insisted that the state government is investing so much in education, called for children around the world to take education seriously and avoid been deceived by their peers who keep saying that ‘school is a scam’.
Speaking on the theme for the year, Commissioner for Women Affairs, Community and Social Development, Pat Ajudua, insisted that quality education and skills development is timely and apt for children to keep their heads above waters in the present day economy as she applauds the Nigerian Children for their tenacity and courage in pushing through trying times.
Meanwhile, the Delta State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Ministry of Health, Women Affairs, Basic and Primary Education, in collaboration with World Health Organisation, United Nations Children’s Fund, and PAN, have gotten the First Lady of the state, Tobore Oborevwori, to flag off the introduction of the Human Papilloma Virus, HPV Vaccine, in the state where she encouraged parents and guardians to make their girl child within the age bracket of 9 to 14 available to take the vaccine.
