The Delta State Government has announced the graduation of 378 Special Constabularies from training.  This is a part of its efforts to establish community policing in Delta State.

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Chiedu Ebie on Thursday at the Community Policing Sensitisation Awareness Campaign in Asaba, urged the Special Constabularies to see their engagement as a clarion call to serve their communities.

“With the overwhelming increase in crime, community policing has become inevitable. This is why, I urge the newly recruited Special Constabularies to see their role as one that requires immense trust and unwavering service,” Governor Okowa said.
