The Itsekiri Liberation Group, ILG has come down heavy on Urhobo Progressive Union, UPU and the Chief Ighoyota Amori led DC-23 over their lobby for Itsekiri Nation to support an Urhobo indigene to emerge governor of Delta State come 2023, saying the UPU and DC-23 cannot be talking of justice, equity and fairness, “when Itsekiris in Delta Central are suffering Political and Economic Marginalization”.

This is contained in an open letter addressed to UPU and DC-23, made available to newsmen on Wednesday.

In the letter authored by Comrades Mone Oris and Ajofortan Omagbemi, Chairman and Secretary, respectively the ILG added claimed that the Itsekiris of Delta Central are not considered for any political appointment in the state as commissioner, board members neither are they giving a shot at the federal government level.
