The Nigerian government has been able to secure $2.25 billion following the approval of the World Bank loan to help stabilize the economy.
The information was made known on Thursday by Wale Edun, Minister of Finance.
He had earlier stated in April that Nigeria is seeking $2.25 billion from the World Bank and expectations are high that the board would approve the request in June
Edun revealed the initiative behind the loan is to help strengthen the country’s foreign exchange reserves, with a portion allocated towards assisting those in need all to help the economic reform of President Tinubu.
