Nationwide Strike Suspended For Five Days, Labour Union

The Organized Labour has suspended its nationwide strike for five days to give room for negotiation with the tripartite committee on the new Minimum Wage.

Recalled that the tripartite committee had stated that in the next one week, meetings would be held with the organized Labour every day to conclude on a suitable minimum wage for the Nigerian workers.

At the meeting scheduled for 10 am today, the strike was suspended by the Labour Union and all government and private organizations are to commence operation of businesses pending the conclusion.
