APC Urges Voters to Reject Atiku’s 2027 Presidential Bid, Cites Past Record

The national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on Nigerian voters to reject African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar in the upcoming 2027 general election, claiming his public record disqualifies him from holding executive office.

​The position was outlined in a press statement released in Abuja by APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka on behalf of the ruling party’s National Working Committee (NWC).

​In the statement, Morka asserted that Atiku’s previous tenure as a high-ranking public officer was marked by severe ethical controversies and allegations of patronage, including the alleged awarding of government contracts and privileges to personal associates and family members.

​The APC leadership stated that the forthcoming presidential poll offers citizens a decisive opportunity to permanently end Atiku’s recurring campaign for the presidency, framing his political platform as inconsistent with national economic recovery and anti-corruption goals.

​The sharp political exchange marks an early escalation in campaign rhetoric between the ruling APC and the newly structured ADC campaign organization as party machinery mobilizes across the country ahead of the 2027 general elections.
