Nigeria’s Ambassador to Germany, Senator Ita Enang, has stated that Nigerians do not strictly require university degrees to gain legal employment in Germany, emphasizing strong demand for technical and vocational talents.
Enang explained that Germany’s labor market offers substantial job opportunities for individuals with practical trade qualifications in fields such as commercial driving, hospitality, woodworking, welding, plumbing, and building construction.
Speaking on employment pathways for Nigerians abroad, the envoy urged prospective applicants to stop limiting their career prospects by assuming that only higher academic degree holders can secure work permits in the European nation.
He highlighted that certified technical skills and vocational training are highly valued in Germany’s industrial and service sectors, encouraging skilled artisans to explore formal labor migration channels.
