Keyamo Confirms NAF Aircraft Crash in Ondo

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has confirmed that 25 passengers and seven crew members were aboard the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) military aircraft that crashed in Ondo State on Monday.

The aircraft came down near the naval base in the Igbokoda area of Ondo State. According to aviation authorities, the plane is utilized for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) operations alongside maritime security patrols.

The Nigerian Air Force confirmed ownership of the aircraft, stating that it was on a routine flight en route to Lagos from Benin, the Edo State capital, when the incident occurred.

Minister Keyamo stated that emergency search and rescue operations were immediately activated following the crash, adding that further official updates will be provided as more details become available.
