50 Million Nigerians To Receive Cash Transfers From FG

The Federal Government, through the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, is set to cushion the economic hardship faced by citizens through the distribution of cash to 50 million vulnerable Nigerians.

This information was disclosed by the Minister, Dr. Bernard Doro, on Thursday at the miden edition of the National Council in Calabar, Cross River State, as cash has already been transferred to 34 million citizens.

This program is aimed at lifting millions of Nigerians from poverty through coordinated, inclusive, and data-driven humanitarian schemes, which, by the end of 2026, will meet the targeted 50 million beneficiaries.

He said the protection of the people is the core value of President Tinubu, hence the reason for the establishment of the National Council on Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction.
