NAPTIP Invites Speed Darlington Over Sex With 15-Year-Old

‎Singer Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington, has been invited by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) for having a sexual relationship with a minor.

‎The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency reported Speed Darlington to NAPTIP after the singer admitted in an Instagram Live session that he had sex with a 15-year-old girl.

‎Speed Darlington has faced widespread backlash over his comments after a video of him admitting to having sex with a 16-year-old was dug up.
‎
‎In response to the public outcry, Speed Darlington released a follow-up video claiming his earlier statement was meant as a promotional stunt for an upcoming song, apologizing for any offense or discomfort his comments may have caused.
‎
‎However, on Thursday, NAPTIP confirmed in a two-page statement that the singer has been summoned for questioning and warned that further action would be taken if he fails to comply with the agency’s directive.
