Sudan Dam Flood, Many Feared Dead

More than 60 persons have been reported killed after a heavy rain burst a dam in Sudan.

Villages, farms, vehicles have been washed by the heavy flood currently experienced in Red Sea State following the fall of Arbat Dam.

Dam Arbat is one of the drinking water source in Port Sudan where the military government headquarters is located.

Rescue team have been put in place but fears are high on death tolls since communication had been cut from some villages with others still missing.

Locals have reported cases of people trapped in vehicles, houses washed by the flood.
