Post created on 9:30 am

A trader Ndukwe Ekwekwe, has narrated how he ended up in a wheelchair after being thrown down from a two-storey building by the disbanded SARS operatives on February 16, 2018 in Lagos.

Ekwekwe, who was escorted to the Hearing by the Lagos State Panel of Judicial Inquiry by his mother, told the panel that he was a dealer in phone accessories and other items, using three shops at Alaba market.

Speaking in Pidgin English, the trader said trouble came when four arms-wielding SARS men showed up around 2pm on February 16, 2018 in his shop at Alaba and began to handcuff him without any explanation.

Ekwekwe said when he asked for his offence, the officers simply told him they were acting on the order of the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu.
