Anambra Lost Willie Obiano in the UK

Former governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, has been reported dead following complications related to his health.

The former governor had been battling severe heart failure and complications related to urinary cancer before his passing in the United Kingdom.

A senior family source disclosed that Obiano’s health had been declining over the past months, but the final collapse came suddenly.

Medical officials in London also confirmed that Obiano fought until the last moment.

Before his death, the former governor was to appear at the Federal High Court in Abuja on November 25 for his ongoing trial for alleged money laundering charges amounting to N4 billion during his tenure as governor.
